Happy Feet

I’ve always liked fine art portraits of families with a new born. To me, it captures the essence of parenthood in a way I can understand. So I was happy to see this one come out (had to shoot about 30 frames to get one where the little guys feet were in position; although the thought to duct tape them into position did cross my mind briefly).Technique: It was a great Sunday morning out with moderate cloud cover, but a generally bright sun. So, I just shot free hand with a wide open aperture and used the diffused window light. Contrast was punched up and a vignette added to center focus. I just wish I’d packed down the comforter on the left side of the bed for a little more symmetry, but it’s pretty authentic (could probably get it there pretty easy with the “liquify” filter in Photoshop).
